Different barriers require different pathways.

Our portfolio is designed around distinct points in the economic journey. Each programme addresses a specific barrier, with a defined pathway from capability to application and measurable progression.

Building stronger Women-led Enterprises Across Africa.

The Matriarch Economy is an enterprise development and catalytic capital initiative created to help promising women-led businesses move from underdeveloped potential toward stronger commercial viability.

Why It Exists

Many women are already building businesses with real demand but remain constrained by weak structures, limited technology, insufficient productive capital, restricted market access or limited readiness for conventional finance.

What We Do

Matriarch helps enterprises strengthen governance, financial systems, legal and technical readiness, production capability and market access. Businesses demonstrating sufficient commercial potential may progress toward catalytic capital and, ultimately, larger commercial financing.

Matriarch Women's Manufacturing Hub

From learning a skill to producing, earning and building.

The Matriarch Women’s Manufacturing Hub is a shared production platform designed to move women beyond skills acquisition into manufacturing, enterprise and sustainable income.

Why It Exists

Training can build a skill without providing the machinery, production environment, technical support or market access required to turn that skill into reliable income.

What We Do

The first Hub is planned for Nasarawa State. Women receive technical, enterprise, leadership and civic-development training, while selected participants progress into practical production through shared productive infrastructure. The equipment remains within the Hub so successive cohorts can continue to train and produce.

She Has A Way Out

Economic independence can expand a woman’s choices.

SHE HAS A WAY OUT is a year-round women’s support, skills, digital and economic independence programme for women experiencing economic or social vulnerability

Why It Exists

A woman may know that something in her life must change and still lack the income, practical skills, support
network or immediate resources needed to build a more independent path.

What We Do

The programme combines marketable skills, digital and enterprise capability, financial knowledge, a continuing
Hope & Connection Circle, modest practical relief and a transition pathway toward production, customers and
income. The programme is not a shelter or substitute for specialist legal, health, protection or psychosocial
services; appropriate referrals are used where needs fall outside its mandate.

RELIEF & ESSENTIAL EMERGENCY SUPPORT
Providing timely support when immediate needs cannot wait.
Matriarch provides targeted emergency relief to women, girls and vulnerable households through direct
assistance, sanitation and hygiene support, essential supplies and other practical interventions that respond to immediate needs.

Digital Skills Empowerment

Practical digital capability for work, enterprise and the future economy

Digital Skills Empowerment equips women and young women with practical digital capabilities that can strengthen employability, entrepreneurship and access to emerging economic opportunities.

Why It Exists

Digital exclusion increasingly limits access to information, customers, jobs, productivity tools and new forms of
work. Basic access alone is not enough; participants need usable skills that connect to real economic activity.

What We Do

Programme modules can include digital literacy, productivity tools, online business, digital communication,
digital payments, AI awareness and responsible use, employability and future-of-work skills. Delivery can be
adapted to the participant group and opportunity pathway.

Financial & Commercial Literacy

Helping young business owners understand the numbers behind growth

Financial & Commercial Literacy is a practical programme for young and emerging business owners who have a product, service or business idea but need stronger financial and commercial foundations.

Why It Exists

A business can generate sales and still fail because the owner does not understand costing, pricing, cash flow,
records, margins, customers or the financial information required by lenders and partners.

What We Do

The programme develops practical capability in pricing and costing, cash-flow management, record keeping,
budgeting, unit economics, customer and market thinking, business structure and funding readiness. The emphasis
is on decisions participants can apply directly to their businesses.

Leaders of Tomorrow supports adolescent girls and young women with leadership development, financial literacy, digital exposure, mentorship and access to wider educational, career and enterprise possibilities.

Why It Exists

Future readiness is shaped not only by education, but also by exposure, confidence, practical knowledge,
networks and an understanding of the opportunities that exist.

What We Do

Through age-appropriate learning, mentorship and exposure, participants build leadership capability, practical financial  understanding, digital awareness and clearer pathways toward education, careers, enterprise and civic participation.

Matriarch Community Days

Bringing practical opportunity closer to communities.

Matriarch Community Days are targeted community activations that bring practical education, useful information and appropriate support closer to women and girls in underserved and rural communities.

Why It Exists

Some barriers are best understood at community level. Short, well-designed interventions can address immediate
knowledge gaps while also revealing where deeper programmes, specialist referrals or institutional partnerships
are needed.

What We Do

Community Days may cover women’s health and wellbeing, financial literacy, livelihoods, education, digital
awareness and other defined needs. Each activation should have a clear purpose, appropriate partners and documented outputs.
