Potential is widespread. Access to the capability, opportunity and support required to turn it into progress is not. Matriarch Empowerment Foundation exists to help close that gap for women and girls through practical programmes in economic participation, enterprise, skills, resilience and leadership.

Mission

To expand economic, educational, social and leadership opportunities for women, young women and adolescent girls through practical programmes, partnerships and targeted interventions.

Vision

An Africa in which women and girls have the capability and opportunity to build sustainable livelihoods, develop enterprises, participate meaningfully and shape stronger futures.

Our Principle

Empowerment should create capability. Capability should connect to opportunity. Opportunity should lead to participation. Progress should continue beyond the intervention.

Safeguarding & Responsible Delivery

We work with women, adolescent girls and communities with dignity, consent and appropriate safeguards. Where specialist health, psychosocial, protection, legal or other professional support is required beyond Matriarch’s role, we work through qualified professionals or referral partners.
